HR Wise is an award-winning, family-operated payroll, bookkeeping, and Human Resource company that provides outsourced solutions for small to medium-sized businesses across the nation. With over 12 years of experience, our team takes pride in building deep, meaningful relationships with our clients. We are currently seeking a dynamic Payroll Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. This position is full-time and requires a motivated individual who excels at multitasking and possesses exceptional communication and time management skills. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for performing payroll and human resources functions using a third-party software provider. This includes maintaining a deep understanding of various payroll platforms and assisting clients with their specific business needs. You will receive payroll timesheets through various channels and input the data into our payroll system. Additionally, you will generate payroll reports and assist with new client and employee enrollment, ensuring all data is accurately documented and tracked in our CRM system. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, reliable, organized, and efficient, with a strong commitment to working accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will function as a customer advocate, providing feedback on how HR Wise can better serve our clients, including tracking and escalating any issues or feature requests. This role requires a professional manner, a strong ethical code, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining motivated and positive.

Responsibilities

  • Perform payroll and human resources functions utilizing a third-party software provider.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of different payroll platforms and communicate relevant features to customers.
  • Receive assigned payroll timesheets via fax/email/phone/online and input data into the payroll system.
  • Generate payroll reports as required and deliver them to the Supervisor for payroll completion.
  • Assist with new client/employee enrollment, including data entry from HR Wise Client/Employee Forms.
  • Document and track all activity in CRM (Financial Cents).
  • Function as the customer advocate and provide internal feedback on how HR Wise can better serve customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks (3 years preferred).
  • Experience in Payroll and Bookkeeping (3 years preferred).
  • Intermediate to high-level experience with payroll platforms like ADP RUN, Paylocity & Paycom.
