About The Position
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Payroll Specialist for a company in Downers Grove, IL. As a Payroll Specialist for SURESTAFF, you will provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial integrity of the company and involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ranging from $28 to $32 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). The available shifts include 25 hours a week, typically scheduled between 8 AM and 5 PM. In this position, you will be responsible for protecting company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. You will also monitor and facilitate decisions through the maintenance and establishment of policies and procedures. A key part of your role will be to monitor and confirm the financial condition of the company through the preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting key data items. You will interact with outside professionals, including auditors, legal counsel, and benefit consultants, to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Additionally, you will maximize return and minimize risk on cash by making informed investment and loan balancing decisions. You will author and complete annual budgets, along with follow-up reporting and forecasting, and prepare and file in-state sales tax and out-of-state business activities tax returns. Your role will also involve operating office equipment such as desktop-networked PCs, printers, telephones, and fax machines, while performing tasks in an office environment. You will contribute to departmental and corporate goals by initiating continuous improvement and working effectively with other employees and departments.
