About the position

The Payroll Specialist at AB Staffing Solutions is responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring data integrity, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves processing new hires and terminations, handling weekly payroll for W2 and 1099 contractors, and ensuring compliance with payment requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on communication and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage time capture and expenses with a focus on data collection and integrity.
• Process new hire entries and employee terminations.
• Handle weekly payrolls for both W2 and 1099 contractors.
• Organize and complete agreements and purchase orders related to contractor payroll and client invoicing.
• Confirm compliance requirements are met for processing payments.
• Audit activities and resolve issues as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of multi-state payroll experience.
• 2+ years in a customer service-related position.
• Intermediate to strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Well organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and work ethics.
• Some schedule flexibility during payroll processing days.
• Self-starter who can prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
