About the position

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing bi-monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial for supporting the overall financial operations of the organization and will involve collaboration with HR and accounting teams in a relaxed and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-monthly payrolls, including multi-state payrolls.
• Review and approve weekly timesheets, resolving coding issues.
• Assist HR with payroll system updates.
• Submit payroll reports for leadership approval.
• Coordinate payroll funding with accounting.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal tax laws for all payroll reports and taxes.
• Provide weekly timesheet and labor reports.
• Manage month-end close for timesheets, payroll, and benefits.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payrolls.
• Proficiency with Deltek and Paylocity systems.
• Strong understanding of State and Federal tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with HR and accounting teams.
