About the position

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll operations for a well-known company in the Denver community. This role involves processing payroll for approximately 2,000 employees, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and addressing payroll discrepancies. The position offers hybrid flexibility and opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payroll for 2,000 employees, including reviewing timesheets, earnings, deductions, and benefits within multiple states.
• Ensure payroll operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Generate payroll-related reports for management, audits, and government agencies as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required).
• 2+ years of full cycle payroll processing experience.

Nice-to-haves
