About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Nemours is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, maintaining employee records, and collaborating with various departments to support payroll functions. This role involves handling tax setups, processing benefits, and responding to payroll inquiries, while also participating in system testing and payroll projects.

Responsibilities

  • Process key activities within the payroll function to support accurate and timely payrolls.
  • Handle employee tax setups and year-end processing of W2s.
  • Research and process tax changes or adjustments and payroll exceptions.
  • Handle benefit-related entries for refunds and changes, including contributions for pre-tax benefits.
  • May be responsible for system/application testing and participate in HR system or payroll implementations.
  • Process verification of employment requests, ACH rejects, check replacements, and bank file verifications.
  • Assist with employee direct deposit set-up and process time entries and PTO accrual entries.
  • Respond to inquiries for resolution of payroll questions via email, phone, or tickets.
  • Perform accurate and timely completion of end-to-end payroll processing for on-cycle and off-cycle payroll runs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience
  • Fundamental Payroll Professional Certification (FPP) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

  • Experience with Oracle and ServiceNow
  • Experience with Kronos
