About the position

The Payroll Specialist at OpenBet Hellas is responsible for managing the payroll for approximately 500 employees. This role involves preparing payroll inputs, reviewing reports from partners, securing necessary approvals for salary payments, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The Payroll Specialist also handles notifications to local authorities and supports employee inquiries related to payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare payroll inputs including new joiners, leavers, and changes to employee circumstances.
  • Review reports sent by partners following defined governance.
  • Secure relevant sign-offs for salaries and allowances to be paid to employees.
  • Manage notifications and reports to Ergani and other local authorities.
  • Oversee payroll audit processes periodically conducted.
  • Process teleworking allowances as separate payments.
  • Conduct special pay runs for Easter, Vacation, and Christmas allowances.
  • Provide guidance and support for employee queries related to payroll.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level with an HR/Accounting qualification or related field, or studying towards it.
  • Proficient in English.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an HR/Finance environment in a Payroll capacity or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Greek payroll and managing payroll activities, including Ergani submissions.
  • Experience with payroll governance and ability to manage various administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Good understanding of employee lifecycle events and their impact on payroll.
  • Experience using Workday is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong skills in Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets and formulas.
  • Attention to detail, good analysis skills, and reliable organization of workload.
  • Pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • Professional attitude with strong interpersonal and presentational skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive, 'can do' attitude.

  • Experience using Workday.
