About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Confluent will play a crucial role in the AMER Payroll team, responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll tasks and ensuring compliance with employment and wage laws. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance payroll operations and maintain strong governance.

Responsibilities

• Support timely and accurate payroll processing for the US and Canada in compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
• Review semi-monthly timesheets and absence records for completeness and accuracy; assist non-exempt employees and managers with time-entry inquiries.
• Calculate and process off-cycle payments.
• Provide customer service to employees on payroll-related inquiries.
• Assist the AMER Payroll team with special projects, including process documentation and improvements, system updates, integrations, upgrades, or implementations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in payroll operations at a multi-national company.
• Workday Payroll experience is required.
• Knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including payroll tax, reporting, and required filings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
