About the position

This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly, monthly, and special payment payrolls. The individual will ensure that all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner according to BCG policy and in compliance with state and federal statutory regulations. A high level of customer service must be provided to both internal and external customers, as well as governmental agencies. The position involves processing bi-weekly and monthly multi-state payroll for approximately 8,200 employees using an outside payroll vendor (ADP) as part of a team. The responsibilities include receiving and processing payroll change information from local offices and the online Human Resource system, auditing information for completeness, and taking appropriate action where needed. The role requires accurately computing retroactive pay, partial pay, and overpayments based on input data. The individual will also receive and accurately import bi-weekly time sheets, compile and input change and pay data to ADP, and prepare special payment files using external programs for input to ADP. Additionally, the payroll data for bi-weekly and special payment payrolls must be transmitted to ADP, and all payroll reports generated by ADP must be downloaded and saved. The individual will sort and distribute payroll checks, advices, and reports, maintain all data on the ADP payroll system, and assist the payroll analyst in researching payroll issues and reconciliations. Other duties and projects will be assigned as responsibilities dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all data on ADP payroll system.
  • Assist the payroll analyst in researching payroll issues and reconciliations.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or comparable knowledge in payroll-related field.
  • Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience with automated systems, including report writing tools.
  • ADP experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Canadian Payroll experience is a plus.
