About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Keeley Companies is responsible for managing payroll processes at the Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. This role involves handling new hire paperwork, terminations, time entry, and certified payroll reporting, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration within a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process all new hire and re-hire paperwork daily.
  • Process all terminations weekly.
  • Process time entry from Procore, HH2, and Timesheet Macro weekly.
  • Assist with certified payroll and IRA auditing.
  • Manage Payroll email inbox.
  • Respond to verifications of employment as requested.
  • Review regular reporting sent from My Assistant and other sources for updates to payroll processing.
  • Provide regular reporting as requested, i.e. PTO, Man hours, etc.
  • Compile and provide certified payroll reports as required by job.

Requirements

  • Certified payroll experience required.
  • Construction payroll experience required.
  • IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) familiarity preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, diverse team environment.
  • Experience with Timberline/SAGE 300 payroll is a plus.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with IRA (Inflation Reduction Act).
  • Experience with Timberline/SAGE 300 payroll.
