About the position

As a Payroll Specialist at Bray Controls, you will be responsible for managing payroll functions for the U.S. team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll laws. This role is crucial for the HR/Payroll team's initiatives in implementing new technologies and processes, and it offers opportunities for career growth within a supportive and innovative company.

Responsibilities

• Process corporate payroll weekly and bi-weekly, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with record retention laws.
• Audit and reconcile files from UKG (UltiPro) each pay period and annually.
• Address payroll inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
• Track accrued time off per company policies.
• Manage wage garnishments, including child support and tax levies.
• Ensure payroll registration and state tax setup for out-of-state payrolls.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports for government agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Update and maintain employee information in the HRB system.
• Apply payroll actions in compliance with applicable laws.
• Drive continuous improvement in payroll and timekeeping processes.
• Document payroll practices and procedures for a payroll desk manual.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification required.
• Experience with UKG (UltiPro) highly preferred.
• Familiarity with special pays (commissions, bonuses) and multi-state payroll.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
