The Techline Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that multi-state, multi-company weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing is completed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll processes and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Payroll Specialist will work in-person at the office in Austin, TX, and will report directly to the Director of Human Resources. Key responsibilities include auditing timekeeping records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, processing garnishments and levies, calculating off-cycle wage payments, and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. The Payroll Specialist will also generate regular payroll reports for branch managers and document HR processes for business continuity planning efforts. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, hour, and tax laws is critical, as is maintaining strict confidentiality of all payroll information. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, along with at least three years of relevant payroll processing experience. The role requires excellent computer skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and practices. The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for attending to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
