About the position

The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in managing payroll production and tax-related issues, ensuring accurate records for Associates. This position involves analyzing and inputting payroll data, maintaining up-to-date information in the payroll system, and resolving inquiries from stores regarding payroll discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, and input payroll data including new hires, job changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain up-to-date information in the payroll system.
  • Ensure all appropriate information is included and maintained in associate files.
  • Ensure accuracy of data by comparing entered data with source documents.
  • Review information accessed from time clocks for completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact stores regularly to assist with discrepancies in paperwork or time clock reports.
  • Create internal management reports as necessary.
  • Process child support orders.
  • File employee paperwork.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
  • Ability to comprehend and accurately complete all documentation.
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to complete assignments in the time allotted.
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Customer Service skills.
