Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for 50+ employees.
  • Review and verify timesheets, hours worked, deductions, and other payroll-related data.
  • Maintain payroll records, ensuring proper documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings and filings.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and assist with general ledger entries.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including the preparation and distribution of W-2 forms.
  • Assist in improving payroll processes and systems for increased efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Proficient in payroll processing for 50-500 employees.
  • Experience with W-2 end of year processing and 1099s.
  • Strong Excel skills.
