About the position

The Payroll Specialist role at Robert Half involves managing payroll processes for a large workforce in Atlanta, Georgia. Responsibilities

  • Accurately process biweekly payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain and verify employee records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Regularly review and reconcile timekeeping data to ensure accurate payroll calculations.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including prompt tax filings and payments.
  • Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR and Finance departments to support employee benefits administration and reporting.
  • Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Take part in year-end payroll processing and preparation of tax documents.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Specialist
  • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
  • Capable of performing Accounting Functions
  • Auditing skills are necessary
  • Knowledge of Kronos preferred
