About the position

The Payroll Specialist at CentraCare is responsible for supporting payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, and providing exceptional service to employees. This role involves handling payroll inquiries, processing payroll in compliance with standards, and collaborating with HR and leadership to resolve issues and educate employees on payroll matters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries via service center portal, phone, or email.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with HR, employees, and leaders to deliver exceptional service and resolve payroll cases efficiently.
• Conduct audits and manage employee timecards to maintain payroll integrity.
• Perform data corrections and identify training needs for payroll processes.
• Provide education to timekeepers and employees to promote understanding and compliance with payroll procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post high school training in office procedures and equipment including computers or equivalent experience required.
• 1+ years of experience in payroll or a related field, including accurate typing and data entry skills and numeric aptitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with UKG and Oracle systems preferred.
