About the position

The Payroll Specialist position at Robert Half involves managing payroll operations for the assigned branch office in Hawthorne, California. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and effective management of payroll data.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system, including hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, time worked, and deductions.
  • Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and issue or reissue checks or direct deposits due to errors or final discharge.
  • Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits ensuring compliance with laws.
  • Generate, analyze, and present reports on payroll data using ADP-Payroll, ADP Workforce Now, Excel Formulas, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ADP - Payroll is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel Formulas is expected.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
