The Payroll Support Specialist at Asbury Automotive Group plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll functions for all associates across various platforms. This position involves close collaboration with the Payroll Team and Operations Team, as well as dealership personnel, to validate payroll information within the Time Management System. The specialist is responsible for managing the Solar Winds ticketing system, ensuring that all inquiries and issues are addressed promptly and effectively. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as key controls related to payroll processing. In addition to monitoring the Solar Winds queue and troubleshooting payroll and UTA issues, the Payroll Support Specialist processes weekly pay cards and monthly permanent cards, reassigns PTO policies for employees returning from leave of absence, and handles supervisor updates based on manager change reports. The specialist also acts as a backup for approving time and pulling time files for weekly and semi-monthly payrolls when the UTA system administrator is unavailable. This position requires a proactive approach to resolving payroll issues and concerns, as well as monitoring time code appropriations and balance violations in collaboration with HR and managers. The Payroll Support Specialist is also responsible for opening cases with UKG as needed, managing incoming mail items such as garnishments and verification of employment requests, and providing excellent customer service by answering questions related to pay and payroll for all associates. This role may also involve performing other related duties that align with the mission and vision of the organization, contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.
