The Payroll Support Specialist at Asbury Automotive Group plays a crucial role in assisting the Payroll and Operations Teams to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll functions for all associates. This position involves collaborating with dealership personnel to validate payroll information within the Time Management System, ensuring that all tickets in the Solar Winds system are addressed promptly, and providing exceptional support to team members regarding company policies and procedures. The specialist is responsible for maintaining compliance with key controls in payroll processing, which is essential for the smooth operation of the organization. In this role, the Payroll Support Specialist will monitor the Solar Winds queue, assign tickets as necessary, and troubleshoot any payroll and UTA issues that arise. They will process weekly pay cards and monthly permanent cards, reassign PTO policies for employees returning from leave of absence, and handle supervisor updates based on manager change reports. Additionally, the specialist will act as a backup for approving time and pulling time files for Weekly and Semi-Monthly payrolls when the UTA system administrator is unavailable. Setting up new employees in the Ultimate system and working closely with dealerships to resolve payroll issues are also key responsibilities. The specialist will monitor time code appropriations, confirm with HR and managers, and address balance violations by collaborating with managers to rectify PTO issues. They will assist managers with UTA processes, open cases with UKG as needed, and manage incoming mail items, including garnishments and verification of employment requests. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, as the specialist will answer questions and assist associates with payroll-related issues, ensuring that all duties align with the organization's mission and vision.
