About the position

The Payroll Systems Analyst position is a critical role within the payroll systems team, primarily responsible for supporting the Lawson Payroll system and other related systems. This position is essential for assisting the business team with a project aimed at upgrading to a new time and attendance system, specifically transitioning from the current Kronos/UKG iSeries platform to UKG Dimensions. The analyst will engage in system maintenance, testing, and balancing of time and attendance data, ensuring a smooth transition and functionality of the payroll systems. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues and supporting various payroll systems projects. The analyst will work closely with internal IT and support teams to address functional system issues and will be expected to maintain effective communication with Payroll Service Centers (PSC) to support the payroll functions of the organization. This position is part of a larger payroll systems team and is expected to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment, contributing to the overall success of payroll operations. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Payroll Systems Analyst will also contribute to the development of training and educational materials, presenting these materials as necessary to ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed and capable of utilizing the payroll systems effectively. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the organization's Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement are paramount in this role, as is setting a positive example for colleagues and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with payroll system configuration and setup.
  • Interact and effectively communicate with internal IT&S and support teams to troubleshoot functional system issues.
  • Work closely with Payroll Service Centers (PSC) to support the payroll function of the organization.
  • Assist with maintenance needs and address system functionality questions.
  • Conduct investigations as warranted, resulting from communicated issues.
  • Keep leadership informed of the status of work efforts.
  • Act as a resource to PSC and division/facility leadership for payroll-related items.
  • Contribute to training and education materials for use in training; present training materials as applicable.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all information.
  • Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
  • Set an appropriate example for personnel by maintaining a positive attitude regarding customers, leadership, compliance, and the work at hand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with payroll systems, particularly Lawson Payroll system.
  • Familiarity with time and attendance systems, preferably UKG Dimensions.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including IT and payroll service centers.
  • Experience in system maintenance and configuration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with Kronos/UKG iSeries platform.
  • Experience in training and developing educational materials for payroll systems.
