About the position

The Payroll Tax Specialist II at ConnectPay LLC is responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of payroll tax submissions and filings. This role involves coordinating with various departments to resolve issues, analyzing tax deposits, and maintaining documentation of procedures. The specialist will also assist in client enrollment for TPA access and participate in quarterly and year-end processing, contributing to special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately submit current and prior tax deposits
• Coordinate and review client tax filing reports
• Analyze balances and reconcile client tax deposits utilizing employee ACCs
• Determine corrective actions by collaborating with Tax and other supporting departments such as Banking, Operations, Conversion, and Implementation
• Communicate resolutions to supporting departments
• Assist in documentation and maintenance of procedures
• Enroll clients for TPA access
• Participate in quarterly and year-end processing
• Contribute to special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in payroll or payroll tax or tax with proven proficiencies
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to organize and multi-task
• Ability to prioritize and be flexible with changing priorities
• Detail oriented
• Math and accounting proficiency
• Proficient in MS Office
