Rogers Group is currently seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist at our corporate office in Nashville, TN. This position will be ON-SITE and report directly to the Payroll Manager. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of and direct experience with multi-State, federal and local payroll taxes. The Payroll Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing a variety of payroll tax-related tasks, including multi-state and federal withholding, SUTA, and local taxes. The role involves approximately 30 monthly filings, around 80 quarterly filings, year-end filings, and W2s. The specialist will also research discrepancies using Oracle EBS and federal/state databases, handle labor union monthly filings (health and welfare, pension, etc.), and prepare for audits (both internal and external). Additionally, the specialist will complete journal entries for all tax payments and assist with payroll adjustments to correct employee payroll tax issues. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can multi-task and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team when needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, is essential, and experience with Oracle payroll software is preferred.
