About the position

The PC Support Technician role at TEKsystems involves providing Level 2 IT support primarily for manufacturing customers. The technician will be responsible for resolving technical issues, ensuring workstation functionality, and delivering exceptional customer service to end users. This temporary position requires a proactive individual who can manage technical challenges effectively while maintaining a positive user experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive IT Level 2 support for PCs and laptops.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Perform various PC-related tasks, including desk setup, cable management, monitor and dock connections, and connection testing.
• Ensure seamless workstation functionality for all users.
• Offer troubleshooting support for customers within the facility.
• Address device connection issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to their work.
• Move or swap equipment around the warehouse as needed.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workspace to support operational needs.
• Escalate complex issues to internal IT partners and teams when necessary.
• Ensure prompt and effective problem resolution to maintain high service standards.

Requirements

• Experience in IT support, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with desk setup and cable management.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting PC and laptop issues.
