The PCA II position at Huber Heights Urgent Care involves providing essential support to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care activities. This role is crucial in ensuring that care is tailored to the developmental levels of pediatric patients, which range from newborns to 21 years of age. The PCA is expected to demonstrate strong communication skills, effectively accepting delegated tasks while also possessing the knowledge to ask pertinent questions and report patient information as necessary. A key aspect of this role is the handling of patient information with the utmost confidentiality and privacy, adhering to the safety management protocols designed to maintain a hazard-free environment and minimize the risk of injury. In addition to these responsibilities, the PCA II is expected to embody the mission of Dayton Children's Hospital, promoting a patient and family-centered experience. This includes acting as a change agent to adapt to the rapidly changing needs of both internal and external customers. The urgent care centers, which are unique in the Dayton region for being fully staffed by board-certified pediatricians and trained pediatric professionals, provide care during hours when typical doctor’s offices are closed. The Huber Heights Urgent Care operates from 11 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 9 PM on weekends, requiring employees to work every third weekend and every other holiday.
