About the position

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) at Interim HealthCare of Sioux Falls is responsible for providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities for clients of all ages in their homes. This role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling, allowing aides to provide their availability for work hours. The PCA plays a crucial role in ensuring clients' hygiene, comfort, and overall well-being while also assisting with light housekeeping and social activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities for clients in their homes.
  • Ensure clients' hygiene, grooming, and comfort needs are met, including toileting and bathing.
  • Assist clients with shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping tasks.
  • Engage clients in socialization activities to promote companionship.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Six months of experience in a comparable job classification or a current CNA license, or completion of the first semester of nursing school.
  • CPR certification preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and current car insurance.
  • Two professional references required.
  • Background check.
