About the position

As a Personal Care Aide (PCA) at The Wesley Community, you will play a vital role in providing essential health care tasks and personal hygiene services to clients in their homes. Your responsibilities will include performing light housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping, as well as assisting clients with miscellaneous household tasks. You will also be responsible for recording and reporting any changes in the client's physical condition, behavior, or appearance to the Director of Clinical Services. In this role, you will have the flexibility to work part-time or potentially full-time, with day and evening shifts available. We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $17 to $20.80 per hour, based on experience and shift differentials. Additionally, you will receive mileage reimbursement for travel between assignments, and uniforms will be provided upon hire. Responsibilities

  • Provide health care tasks and personal hygiene services to clients.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping.
  • Assist clients with miscellaneous household duties.
  • Record and report changes in the client's physical condition, behavior, or appearance to the Director of Clinical Services.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have successfully completed a training program in personal care services and earned a Personal Care Aide certificate.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from clients' homes and occasionally transport clients.
  • Must have a current and valid Driver's License in the state of New York.
  • Must have a clean driving background and will be subject to yearly background checks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a caregiving role or similar position.
