About the position

The Personal Care Aide position at Morningside House of Chestnut Ridge involves providing essential support to residents in a personal care and memory care community. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their dignity and quality of life while fostering a supportive environment. This position is crucial for maintaining the well-being of residents and reports directly to the Health & Wellness Director.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services.
• Follows the schedule of resident's needs set by the supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Documents daily log of assistance provided to residents.
• Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respects and encourages the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information.
• Familiarizes with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and safe practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
