The PCA will accompany clients to doctor appointments and provide transportation for community outings, ensuring direct daily support is offered to enhance the clients' quality of life. The role requires adherence to strict policies and procedures to prevent abuse, including reporting any suspicious or inappropriate behavior. The PCA must follow mandatory abuse reporting requirements and attend periodic training and ongoing education sessions to stay updated on best practices. Documentation of daily client activities and observations is essential, and the PCA may be required to assist clients throughout the night. A professional appearance is expected at all times, and communication with clients must be respectful and considerate. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with other related duties as requested by clients, notifying the office of any changes in a client's health, needs, or living conditions, and treating both clients and their property with respect. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Capability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license from the Tennessee Department of Safety.
  • Documentation of vehicular liability insurance for personal injury to occupants of the vehicle.
  • Vehicles must be maintained and operated in a safe manner.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Successful clearance of local and state Criminal Background Checks.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
