About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Sacred Heart Senior Living involves providing essential support to residents in their daily activities and personal care. This part-time position is ideal for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors, with training provided for those without prior experience. The PCA will work night shifts, specifically from 11 PM to 7 AM, and will be required to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist and encourage residents in activities of daily living.
• Provide routine physical care such as taking vitals, bathing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning.
• Maintain all health and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training as required by facility and DPW Regulations.
• Cooperate with direct supervisor and work as a team player.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.
• References and excellent attendance required.
• Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening conducted.
