About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish Speaking Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is vital in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient facilities, and home care environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Support clients in engaging in social activities and outings.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as Level I Trauma Centers, Medical-surgical units, Emergency medicine departments, Outpatient facilities, Teaching hospitals, PICUs, Geriatrics units, and Level II Trauma Centers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures related to personal care.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Must be able to pass background checks and any required health screenings prior to employment.
