About the position

At KCare, LLC, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs). As a PCA, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in need, assisting them with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a warm and friendly demeanor, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. You will be responsible for helping clients with various tasks, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management, while also offering companionship and emotional support. In this role, you will work closely with individuals who may have developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, or other health conditions, providing direct support and specialized care tailored to their unique needs. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring vital signs, implementing first aid when necessary, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. You will be expected to uphold the rights and privacy of residents while delivering compassionate and respectful care. Additionally, you will be required to drive clients to appointments or outings, ensuring their safety during transportation. This position offers flexible scheduling options, including part-time and full-time opportunities, with shifts primarily on weekends. Responsibilities

  • Provide caregiving services to individuals in need, utilizing core skills such as caregiving, assisted living, ADLs, patient care, and nursing home experience.
  • Work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, and other conditions, offering direct support and specialized care.
  • Perform tasks related to senior care, hospice care, and monitoring vital signs to ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Implement first aid when necessary and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Drive individuals to appointments or outings as required, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist with activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
  • Uphold residents' rights and privacy while providing compassionate and respectful care.
  • Occasionally engage in heavy lifting tasks and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and demonstrate sensitivity when working with individuals with autism.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ten hours of inservice training per year.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to effectively deal with clients, families, and coworkers while being kind and courteous.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Auto insurance and working cellphone are necessary.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
