About the position

The On-Call Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and addressing calls made to the emergency number by clients, referral sources, or caregivers. This position is essential for ensuring that all shifts are filled and that clients receive the care they need without interruption. The Coordinator will handle a variety of calls, including those from clients wishing to cancel or modify their upcoming shifts, caregivers notifying the office of their inability to work, and referral sources discussing prospective or existing clients. In this role, the On-Call Coordinator is responsible for updating the schedule and notifying caregivers of any canceled shifts. They will actively work to fill open shifts, either by finding a replacement caregiver or stepping in themselves as a substitute for the regular caregiver. This requires effective communication with the Operations team to ensure that staff assignments are managed efficiently and that all shifts are filled to meet client requirements. The Coordinator will also communicate daily with office staff to keep everyone informed of any changes to the schedule, ensuring a smooth operation and high-quality care for clients.
