About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at Jane's Beautiful Angel's LLC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients in Gloucester, VA. This position involves providing essential personal care services to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their own homes. You will assist clients with daily living activities, which may include bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support. Your compassionate and caring attitude will be crucial in building trusting relationships with clients, allowing them to feel secure and valued in your care. In addition to personal care tasks, you will also be responsible for medication reminders and assisting with medication administration, ensuring that clients adhere to their prescribed health regimens. Meal preparation and assistance with feeding will also be part of your duties, as well as performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Providing companionship and emotional support is a key aspect of this role, as many clients may feel isolated or lonely. You will also escort clients to appointments or social outings, helping them stay connected with their community. Documentation is an important part of the job, as you will need to report any changes in a client's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor. This position offers flexible scheduling options, with shifts available during the day from Monday to Friday, and the possibility of part-time or full-time hours. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Help with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes
