About the position

COMMUNITY HOME HEALTH CARE is hiring Personal Care Assistants (HHA/PCA) for a few of our local elderly clients in the Peekskill, NY area. The work is available in Westchester County only. Personal Care Assistants and Caregivers will assist our clients in their homes by primarily providing hands-on personal care and possibly light housekeeping, assistance walking/moving, and meal preparation, among other tasks. This role is essential in ensuring that our clients receive the support they need to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate care to our clients, which may include helping them with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and providing companionship. This position is perfect for individuals looking to kickstart their career in healthcare, as we are willing to PCA certify the best candidate for FREE! Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Help clients with mobility and walking assistance.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with daily living activities.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients.
  • No prior experience necessary, but experience as a CNA, DSP, HHA, PA, or Caregiver is a plus.
