About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing essential support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. This position is available for both part-time and full-time schedules, primarily focusing on assisting with personal care tasks and maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Chart daily visit notes.
• Provide support to patients with special needs, such as behavioral health.
• Prepare and distribute meals, including washing and sanitizing dishes, equipment, and laundry.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Remind clients to take their medications.

Requirements

• Valid CNA license.
• Valid CPR Certification.
• Experience in patient interaction.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to work in a home environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
