About the position

Comfort N Your Homecare, LLC is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to our clients in their homes. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. This position is available for part-time, full-time, or PRN (as needed) schedules, allowing for flexibility in your work hours. In this role, you will assist clients with mobility support, helping them move safely around their homes. You will also aid in maintaining personal hygiene, which includes bathing, grooming, and applying skincare products. Additionally, you may be responsible for light housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and running errands. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with mobility support
  • Help clients maintain personal hygiene, including bathing and grooming
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Run errands for clients as needed
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors

Requirements

  • CPR Certification
  • Experience in assisted living or caregiving
  • Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Experience in senior care
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience in home care or patient care
  • CNA certification preferred but not required

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with elderly clients
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Ability to work flexible hours
