Elderly Caregiver's LLC is looking for a dedicated and experienced Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential care for elderly clients in Cheshire, CT. This full-time position involves a live-in arrangement, where the PCA will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The role requires a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as transportation may be necessary for errands and appointments. This position offers a competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,270.00 to $1,333.65, reflecting the importance of the role in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to elderly clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with transportation as necessary.
  • Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any concerns.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a personal care assistant or in a similar role, particularly in senior care.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle for transportation.
  • Ability to relocate to Cheshire, CT before starting work.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a strong commitment to providing quality care.
