About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing essential support to clients in their daily living activities, ensuring they receive compassionate and high-quality care. This position requires working closely with clients to assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, and medication administration, while also performing light housekeeping duties. The PCA will work on a flexible schedule, including weekends, to meet the needs of clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Help clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Administer medication as prescribed by the client's physician
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning
• Accompany clients to appointments and social events

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved Personal Care Assistant training program
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• 1 year of experience in home care
