About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Chanda Care is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing compassionate, client-centered care to those in need. This full-time position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their independence and dignity, and enhancing their quality of life in their own homes and communities. The PCA will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure exceptional care and support for clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide reminders for medication according to the client's care plan.
• Prepare meals and carry out light housekeeping duties.
• Maintain open communication with the client's family and healthcare team.
• Help with client mobility both at home and in their community.
• Accompany clients to run errands.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience or a willingness to be trained.
• Own a vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.
• Availability to work different shifts, including weekends.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or greater.
• Comfort working in a self-directed, one-on-one environment.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
