About the position

As a PCA Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential personal care and services to residents in a long-term care facility. This position requires a strong work ethic, responsibility, patience, and a caring demeanor, along with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be the backbone of our caregiving team, assisting residents with their daily activities and ensuring they receive the support they need to maintain their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include preparing meals according to the chef's instructions, assisting with light housekeeping and laundry, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment for the residents. You will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the service manager, department manager, or facility manager. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to work Monday through Friday, with expected hours of no less than 15 per week. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, although training in skilled care nursing or a related field is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to the chef in accordance with the portion of the menu per personal care instructions of the residents.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and other tasks as directed by the residents' service manager.
• Maintain a clean and orderly resident environment consistent with policy and procedure standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the service manager, department manager, and/or facility manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Experience in senior care is a plus.
