About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at City Care Home Care involves providing one-on-one assistance to clients in their homes, focusing on companionship, personal care, and support for daily activities. Caregivers will travel throughout the area to deliver exceptional in-home care and companionship, ensuring that seniors can live independently while receiving the necessary support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and friendship to seniors and their loved ones.
  • Remind clients to take their medications.
  • Establish open communication with seniors and their families.
  • Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, and feeding.
  • Help clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Provide transportation, ambulation, and transfers for clients.

Requirements

  • PCA, HHA certification, CNA license, or professional caregiving experience required.
  • Current Driver's License, Automobile Insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Pass a Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, and Credit History check.
  • Basic knowledge of PC operation and access to the internet.
  • Reliable access to a computer and internet for web-based training.
