About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Precious Health Services LLC involves providing essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The PCA will assist clients with daily activities, promote their independence, and ensure their well-being in a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Help with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices as needed
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and tidying up living spaces
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors or healthcare providers

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with basic caregiving techniques and principles
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
• Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals requiring personal care assistance
