About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at Grace At Home Care provides compassionate and personalized care to clients in their homes, enabling them to live safely and comfortably. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting personal safety, and maintaining compliance with company policies. The PCA is integral to enhancing the quality of life for clients through tailored care programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and personalized care to clients in their homes
• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with shopping and errands as needed
• Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients
• Maintain compliance with Grace At Home Care policies, procedures, and job requirements
• Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, partner agencies, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a State-approved CNA program or equivalent experience
• Currently registered & licensed in applicable State
• Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
• CPR certification must remain current during employment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to promote a safe and positive environment for clients
• Driver's license and reliable transportation
• At least eighteen years of age
• A minimum of one professional reference provided before hire

Nice-to-haves

• One (1) year of skilled nursing experience preferred
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role
• Bachelors Degree
