About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work closely with clients in various settings, including homes, healthcare facilities, and community environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed health plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in various medical settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in personal care or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology related to care practices is beneficial.
• Must pass background checks and adhere to all health regulations.
