The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals in their home and community, as well as those in assisted living, hospice care, and memory care settings. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care and support in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
• Remind consumer to take medications as prescribed.
• Support clients with mobility needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living space to ensure a healthy environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document client progress and any incidents accurately to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of assisted living, hospice care, and memory care practices is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
• A nurturing attitude combined with patience and empathy towards clients' needs.
• Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living environment for clients.
