About the position

SignatureCare Home Health is dedicated to providing planned, integrated, compassionate healthcare to improve the quality of life for our senior clients and clients with disabilities. We are currently seeking Personal Care Aides who will assist with basic direct patient care activities in a safe and caring environment. The role involves upholding the mission, values, and customer service standards of SignatureCare Home Health while delivering essential personal care services to our clients in their homes. As a Personal Care Aide, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, which may include personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. You will also perform homemaker tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands to ensure a comfortable living environment for our clients. Additionally, you will prepare and administer meals according to dietary needs and report any abnormal findings or changes in the physical, mental, or emotional conditions of clients to the Registered Nurse (RN). Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet the needs of our clients. This position requires a strong service orientation, active listening skills, and the ability to monitor clients closely. You will need to possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and other staff members. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, motivated, and trustworthy, with a commitment to providing high-quality care to those in need.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with personal care services and homemaker tasks in the client's place of residence.
• Assists with daily living activities.
• Performs housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands.
• Prepares and administers meals in accordance with dietary needs.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to RN.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year experience working as a personal care aide, home health aide, or in a similar field.
• Prefer a High School Graduate or GED.
• Basic computer data entry skills.
• Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening and critical thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, families, and staff.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass background check and any other required checks.
• Certifications that may apply.
• Must have a smartphone to utilize the timekeeping system.
