About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing essential support and companionship to clients in their homes. This part-time position focuses on assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and maintaining a safe environment. The PCA will work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through emotional support and practical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up and laundry
• Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
• Escort clients to appointments or social outings
• Document daily activities and report any changes in client's condition to the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a personal care assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
