Lloyds Homecare Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals needing assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, including those with developmental disabilities, pediatrics, and individuals recovering from post-care procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare settings and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality care while ensuring client comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients in mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Help manage daily living activities including meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care as required.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being.
• Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures within the care environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience as a caregiver.
• Certification in first aid and CPR.
• Updated TB Test.
• Updated Physical from a provider's office.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Excellent judgment and proven discretion in handling confidential information.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in caring for people who have dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
• Ability to communicate in more than one language.
• Professional certification such as CNA or HHA.
• Cultural Competency Training Certificate.
