About the position

This position will work within the Premium and Copayment Assistance program (PCAP) within the HIV Medication Assistance Program (HMAP) to assist with the management of processes for enrolling clients into PCAP, coordinating with the contracted insurance navigators to ensure proper insurance enrollment, coordinating insurance copayment assistance with the contracted pharmacy benefits manager, coordinating premium payments with insurance carriers, and managing critical data management and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing and maintaining SAS Programs
  • Manage the PCAP tracking tools in Microsoft Excel and SAS
  • Prepare monthly payment files for client premiums using SAS and Microsoft Excel
  • Responsible for creation of longitudinal payment file using multiple SAS functions.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing methods to track and analyze enrollment, utilization, premium costs, copayment assistance costs, maximum annual costs, health outcomes, and other metrics such as cost neutrality and rebate projections.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret statistical data, prepare epidemiologic reports, providing epidemiological data for decision making related to program operations and client health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of epidemiologic principles, investigations, surveillance, study design, descriptive statistics, statistical analysis and interpretation of statistical data and scientific literature
  • Considerable knowledge of biostatistics including the use of SAS statistical software and statistical programming languages.
  • Considerable knowledge of computers, database design, data analysis, data management and reporting.
  • Considerable experience creating and documenting processes for managing data and using data to guide program operations.
  • Considerable experience communicating about highly technical data with a variety of audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Skill in SAS programming to manage and manipulate multiple datasets, including writing, running and troubleshooting SAS programs.
  • Experience using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel such as Pivot Tables, X Look up, and conditional formatting
  • Knowledge of third-party coverage such as Medicaid, Medicare and private health insurance;
  • Knowledge of informatics, data management, manipulation of complex data files, and summarizing data analysis results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast changing environment
  • Knowledge of HIV and health care and treatment.
