About the position

Kick-start your career as a PCB Layout CAD Designer for MJS Designs, an electronic manufacturing services partner since 1976. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your PCB knowledge and software expertise while expanding your skill set by working alongside our team of design experts. You will collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, which will provide you with professional growth opportunities. As a PCB Layout Designer, your main mission will be to perform PCB layout for new and existing designs. You will utilize your technical skills while gaining a deeper understanding of PCB technology from your senior colleagues. Daily, you will use the general PCB layout knowledge you've gained from your previous professional positions in multi-layer PCB design. A high degree of competency using Cadence Allegro, Altium, Expedition, Valor, or PADS is essential. Your understanding of design for test (DFT), design for assembly (DFA), and design for manufacturing (DFM) concepts will be beneficial. Additionally, your ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet established deadlines will be key to your success. Responsibilities

  • Perform PCB layout for new and existing designs.
  • Utilize technical skills in multi-layer PCB design.
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet established deadlines.
  • Apply knowledge of design for test (DFT), design for assembly (DFA), and design for manufacturing (DFM) concepts.

Requirements

  • A technical degree is required for this position.
  • Proficiency in CAD software tools such as Altium, Expedition, Allegro, or PADS.
  • 2+ years of experience in PCB design is a plus.
  • Experience with high-speed design, cross talk limits, differential pairs, and RF design is a plus.
  • Customer service and detail-oriented skills are necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with densely populated designs.
  • MS Office experience with good written and verbal communication skills.
